Duel line base anchor setup.

Depends if your referring to the working line or the anchor line mate!

 

Work line would use to much rope to base tie. (Obviously depending on how long the climbing line is. 50m in this case.)

 

chocking the anchor line is ok if you've pre installed the ring! Otherwise joining the 2 lines would mean you would either have to tie rope on rope or use a bina! Either way for me this way would be impractical.

How do you find untying those triple fishermans on the ring? I usually just do a Figure 8 Follow Through.

 

You know it's a really tall tree when the ring connection ends up near the top!

 

 

To be fair I've never had a problem untying them mate, I don't think they really load heavy, think it all depends on how much the line is redirected from the crown.
