What are the chips used for?

Compost?

Here there is a big move towards large chips of a certain grade for fuelling the new power station South of Rennes.

This burns 'plaquettes' a large grade of wood chip and they prefer conifer too.

Normal chip produced by the likes of us is too small for now.

They may change their tune when if they get hungrier...

This is the machine which I use 6 days a week. It can produce 100 tonne a day. It's uses hammers instead of blades. When we load it 1 grab loader every 10 minutes. It's shreds green waste or brash everyday. No logs because they are sold to someone else for firewood.

Looks like it would shred our peat.

Do you know what is the minimum power needed to drive it.
