Hey,

How can I tell if my chippit has stress control? Where is the stress control box and what does it look like.? If I haven't got it is it easily fitted. I have just got it and haven't put anything big through yet so I don't know if it stalls or not.

Advise appreciated

Fire the chipper up and run it on full revs with the rollers engaged in the forward position.

Reduce the engine revs to half or less and the rollers should stop as in theory the flywheel is rotating at a reduced rpm.

They are easily fitted but it may need a small amount of welding to fix the pick up sensor bracket in place

Cheers for the advise lads do you know where I could get the stress control components from if I don't have it. What are people's thoughts on these machines? Good / bad? Also can you grease the rollers because I can't see any nipples? Cheers

The majority of these chippers didn't have any grease nipples for the rollers. I'm pretty sure they were introduced about 2000/2001

Hi Hats

Easiest route will be to take it to your nearest Timberwolf dealer, they will be able to locate the "No Stress Box" if it has one and be able to supply replacement parts too.

You can find your nearest dealer on Wood Chippers, Industrial Chippers, Specialist Shredders - Timberwolf under the dealer tab.

Hope this helps
