greenmech cs100

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been looking at the small greenmech 4" chippers for a while now, as I can't justify the cost of a bigger unit (I'm scrapping a business along on a Scottish island, mixing tree work with gardening and anything else that comes my way). Does anyone have any experience of these machines, if so, are they ok for what they are?

On Youtube, the best video I've found looks fiddly but ok, but then it's chipping lime, which is about as soft as you get!

It's worth bearing in mind that I'm really after the chip for use on gardens, and hopefully a better option for getting rid of brash than loading a farmers trailer and brashing it down with a saw for him to do whatever he does with it.

Hi Tim,

The cs100 is a great chipper for those of focus on garden work. Being small allows you to take the chipper through to back gardens with ease.

We have had a few of our customers purchase a cs100 and we have never heard any bad feedback regarding these.

We will have a used cs100 for sale very shortly that is fairly new and in brilliant condition.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.

My cs100 is now bought and paid for. Doesn't come out too often but when it does its a great time saver. This job would have meant a 75 yard drag through dogleg fences and small gates. Chipper went straight in and probably saved 2 hours and loads of energy.

One of the most useful things in the shed

As it's your first chipper i'm sure that you wont be disappointed. I bought one a few years back to supplement a bigger chipper on the odd occasion that i had two teams out. I was a bit disappointed but it was fantastic a couple of times when i needed to get it into a back garden.

Great chipper mate, I've even used mine for larger take downs. If you're used to ramming large bits through a roller feed chipper then you'll need to adjust your work method but you'll soon get the hang of it. You'll have no regrets buying this chipper.

nail, hit and head spring to mind after reading the above.

I have the older model GMR100 and it's very good, as stated you have to re-adjust your chipping method if you've been used to a normal/full sized chipper. the size and quality of the chip is reasonably good imo.

top buy, you will have no regrets, get a set of spare blades in with the deal if you can. Its a brilliant piece of kit. You will have to cut with this is mind and it will take extra time to chip compare to a hydraulic feeder but its been worth its weight for me. Good luck
