Aspen Fuel: 2T and 4T

Has anyone experience of using this fuel? The price is obviously very high and such that it would thus exclude itself from regular use, although I may have to change my thinking on that one. First, I am actually getting customers who ask what steps I am making on environmental grounds (one potential contract has stipulated biodiesel for chipper and vehicles and ethanol for other or an equivalent) and second, the health-freak in me says maybe I should make the switch regardless of cost. Many thanks.

We use Apen at work it wrecked the saws on the change over from normal two stroke. It is expensive twice as much as regular fuel, but these days you have to jump through the hoops to get the contracts. Buy one barrel as a keepsake to show people and keep on running normal fuel (thats what i tell the boss but he keeps on buyin this over priced rubbish)

I run my hedge cutters on it and they run perfect, after trying it on a 8 month old ms200 it needed a new carb on it after a few tanks where run through, that put me of using it on any my saws but my ancient blower seems to love it when i forget putting the normal 2 stroke on in the morning on the hedge cutting jobs.

Now use nothing but Aspen.

A few probs with set up to start with (blower in particular) but once set all OK.

Dont do forestry type contracts so dont use gallons of the stuff, therefore cost increase is insignificant overall.

Dont bother putting it in saws that have not been looked after or run on 'about that much' mix.

Re the contract - like you say, show the bottle, use the normal!

If some one conned me like that I would be livid!!:mad1::thumbdown:

And people moan about cowboys, pikeys, and having their gear nicked!!! doing the above is just theft!! plain and simple.
