old trailer help...

I bought a 12x6 trailer a couple of years ago. Its a heavy old thing and I thought it was an early Ifor Williams - turns out its not. Its a proper heavy duty thing and has the old chunky type wheels and tyres. It did not come with a spare and I have been looking for one ever since. It has 6 x 9 tyres on split rim, 5 stud wheels...anyone got any idea where I might be able to source one?

I would think the wheel bearings will need replacing too , with the cap missing !

HI ARB i will ask my old mate i think he may have split rims tyres thanks jon :thumbup:

As far as I'm aware you measure the distance between two opposite studs and go by that when looking for a tyre.

 

Had the same problem a while ago when looking for a wheel. Gave up in the end.

 

No, what you need is the PCD, Pitch Circle Diameter. Which is the diameter of the circle the studs form.

 

You'll also need to know the size of the hole in the centre.

 

Then. eBay.

That's it. New it was something like that. I have up on mine as I ran out of patients and scrap yards to look in.
