replanting grants in Wales ?

Hi all,

We have 25acres of soft wood to harvest but as you probably know we have to agree to replant, so I was wondering what grants are available in Wales and where to start and who do I contact.

Hey mate, you could try a government funded charity called focus on forestry first. All the best with the funding and I hope the info is of.some help. Regards western

Replant grants are controlled by the Forestry Commission.

 

You need to contact your local office and they will talk you through the options.

Hi,

 

At the moment there are No grants available for replanting because they closed the old "Better Woodlands for Wales" grant scheme before putting a new one in place!

 

There will be a new grant scheme, Glastir Woodland Management, along "sometime soon" and this will include restocking grants. We have been waiting all year so dont hold your breath!!! This will be administered by the Welsh Government, as you may know the Forestry Commission are being merged with the EA and CCW in Wales.
