Over the last two weeks I've looked at three Eucalyptus trees that have died.
The first was stone dead with no new growth evident this year.
The other two had about one inch of new growth and now all the leaves are brown.
All are in the Reigate area but not in the same vicinity. All three are quite small and have been pruned last year, one of them by me.
I've just had an email from a client in Fulham explaining that her Euc is all brown. I've been pollarding this one every two years for the last eight and it was done last year.

Anyone else seeing Eucs dying for no obvious reason?

Had loads last year after the hard winter we had, havent really had any this season, got one to do in a few weeks but from the looks of it, its been dead since then.

Cold weather, down here loads gone plus many bay trees.

I had a couple last year in the Surrey area, and thought that it must have been due to the hard winter, and near permafrost ground.

I collected loads last year that had died in the extreme cold and a few so far this year that I presume were from people who had given them the chance to recover and they had not.

I have noticed a five or six around here, but only dismantled one so far. I have put it down to the after effect of the cold winter last year.

Several in Norfolk and Cambridge area. Seems to be the cold as suggested already. One just up the road from me, growing well last year now all brown and no new growth. Was proper cold this winter and fenland areas are very exposed.
