Been looking for the same Dean, can't find bugger all, think stihl do one but even a dealer i spoke to didn't know what i ment:confused1:

 

The dealer Bob is quoting below is very up on things and will find things out willingly. Huddersfield Saw and Tool.

 

I'll ring him this week and see if he can do anything

 

saw and tool will do you one

stihl part no 5910 850 1008 or

stihl part no 5910 850 1009

not sure what the differences are

 

Do you know which one Dave used to have Bob, if you see him ask him will you?

the EDT6 goes from 100rpm to 30,000rpm on 2 or 4 stroke engines

 

the EDT5 goes from 100 to 19,000 but im not sure on whether it's 2 stroke only

 

both aparently work wirelessly or can be connected in some way or other by a wire.

 

the batteries are soldered inside and the case sealed but should last for years if you keep them away from running engines when stored (they 'wake up' when they sense the induction)

those are both listed in the current stihl catalogue not sure what the difference is book is in garage have used several different ones and they all seem to do the job i had one the same as daves but mine broke now got the flat stihl one
