372xp/560xp/576xp which one!

sold off a few saws getting a bit long in the tooth
going to buy a nice new one of the above

was between the new 560xp with all the bells and whistles [£553]but hear from one or two they are having a few teething probs.

old school, been around the block 372xp,little bit more ££££ [£580]but also more power

then heared good things[some on here]about the 576xp,got the top 2 rolled into 1,with the power and all the whistles and bells, plus been out about a year[i think]£600..

please pros, cons etc....these models only.....not a stihl husky war as i run both.
husky ground saws and stihl climbing

Good to see another thread on these saws, hopefully allows me to read both and then get brave to spend money.

Re: 372xp/560xp/576xp which one!

I have seen the service update from Husqvarna re the 560xp problems and the affected serial numbers etc. I would say the 560xp (which should be beyond that # point and the 576xp (the two modern ones). Only the intended use seperates them. The power to weight ratio of the 560xp is superb and it will feel light in your hands all day. The 576 will drain you by comparison but if you need to be running a 20" or more it would warrant it. That's my reckoning
Softwood pays the bills.

Only got experience of the 372 out of those three but can't fault it. Dug it out the other day for some biggish pines and forgot just how well it pulls.

There's no fancy gubbins on it to go wrong, it's tried and tested and it feels like a proper saw (and still sounds like one too!)

Re: 372xp/560xp/576xp which one!

the 576xp is simply supurb. it will easily pull a 25" bar when needed or chuck out lumps of 4x2 with a 20inch bar... i highly rate it. i think the 560xp is also a supurb new saw.
