Does anyone know anything about Sunrain woodburning stoves?

Are they well made and easy to control burn rate?

Will be grateful for any information any one has.

Thank You.

Cheap Chinese crap IMHO. Average life of stoves of this quality is likely to be 3 -5 years, if that suits (if moving house etc) then fine but if you are staying put then buy something that will last 25 years plus such as an Esse or similar, good solid British engineering, made by hand in Lancashire for well over 100 years.

These 'Sunrain' stoves are I suspect also sold under other brand names.

Yep - cheap generic Chinese tat. Wouldn't have one meself.

They're also sold by an outfit called "astove" - who have recently tried spamming on another forum. Have a look at the customer reviews on the astove website, and then tell me if you think they're genuine - if they are then they have an awful lot of customers who use a very odd variety of English!

PS @Alycidon - just out of interest my mate used to do warranty repairs on Esses, and he reckoned that their quality control often left a bit to be desired - don't know if it's still the case though

I speak as I find, I have sold quite a lot ( 150+) of Esse stoves and not had a single stove warranty issue of any sort. Esse only have one service engineer covering the whole country, he does both cookers and stoves. He is available in under a week usually, that suggests to me that there are no quality issues to speak of at all. All Esse stoves now carry a badge on the glass signed by the person who built the stove and the date it was built, if there ever was an issue then the fault can be traced back to the individual who built it immediatly. If there was any quality issue I would bin them immediatly as I have a couple of other well known brands who decided to move their manufacturing overseas to the cost of their quality. I will not sell or recommend anything I would not install into my own home.
