Bristol's Trees.

Have been in Bristol a month now and am finally getting out and about.....Bristol is blessed with public parks with trees of various eras and species....Lots of self seeders knocking around on wasteland, railway sidings, rivers etc. Obviously Ashton Court to explore and I'm sure i will be spending plenty of time in Leigh woods which runs along the Avon gorge....Looking at the map there are also a few small old woodlands dotted around the city.....Having worked here for a few weeks and taken a few walks I can see that the city has a real versatile collection of trees in varying states of health. It seems that dog vandalism is prevalant too.

Looking forward to documenting the cities trees and hopefully some of you will enjoy looking at the photo's.:001_smile:

Of all the places you could go in Bristol and you end up in Bedminster, Victoria park.ahh! at least you survived:001_tt2: not a bad spot. I remember when i was a trainee and having to crown lift the poplars led down in the photo with a silky. Good times:thumbdown:

Who you working for?

Ha, check out the Planes in Queens square, we crown thinned them over ten years ago, I remember doing three to four a day as a contract climber.
