Loading Net sacks with Firewood

Hi,

I have been trial loading net firewood sacks by hand today and this is more than a bit of a faff since the corners of split logs continually get stuck on the net causing damage to same.

What is the quickest and most efficient way to load a 52 x 85cm net sack ? and how much would you charge for this filled with either hardwood or softwood ?

Regards

I have one of the purpose built troughs, however, i still use a piece of drainage pipe from the farm works great i think its 315mm diam sewage pipe. I cut it to the length of the net and got a file to the rough edges. I find that if you use this on a bench to avoid a bad back, then it is nearly as quick as the purpose built bag troughs, the bags look neater and you save a couple of hundred squid :)

Untill i bought one of the above mentioned log bagging trays i was using a peice of a plastic banner. Roll the cut bit of banner in a sausage and put in the net, hand in the net to open out the banner. Fill with logs and when full whip the banner out. It works well.

I have one of the fuelwood bagging trays, exspensive but worth every penny, no snagging logs, no bad back and loads more nets done with the same quantity in every one.
