Log Splitters towable and self powered

Recently lost out on a couple of jobs as I was unable to split the logged wood ready for firewood. I work for a lot of expat clients in France.

Thinking a log splitter just might give an advantage with work and was wondering if any one had prefernces I guess this would be small scale not full time firewood production.

Spotted a couple of units on Ebay that looked like contenders which I guess are made in China.

All points of view appreciated

The smelling pisstakes are all mine

I have a german Sheppach. When I use it leaves me with the feeling it would be difficult to build a machine myself with the efficency I get from mine. I can split 18" rings into a double load in 40 mins. This I think is mainly due to speed and auto return and adjustable stops.

Timber Cutter Dartmoor on here has a great looking log splitter, Looks very easy to move about and from what ive heard, Performs very well, Cant remember where he got it from off the top of my head tho :blushing::biggrin:

Its a riko machine. I think Chris sheppard is the man to speak to here on arbtalk, and as ive said before, VERY impressive machine.:001_smile:
