Newly installed woodburner

Having fishishing installing a dunsley highlander 5 this afternoon there seems to be a strange smell developing and the smoke alarm has gone off,is it normal to experience what i persume is the newness of the burner with the new materials inside....any advice gratefully recieved

Sounds or smells like the paint on the burner outside burning off, nothing to worry about we had the same last year when we put ours in.
