What stump treatment do you use?

Following the (apparant) withdrawal of sodium chlorate got me thinking what everyone is using to treat stumps nowadays?

I always used ammonium sulphamate until it was withdrawn.

I do know there is the glyphosate option (although technically not correct use) and also such as SBK that is recommended to be mixed with parrafin, but often customers dont want such chemicals in their gardens.

So what are you guys using?

A chap i worked for in the past, A good few years ago just used to use house hold bleach, it honestly worked a treat, Re visited a few gardens over the 3 years i worked for him and it killed the stump off no worries, Demestos is cheap these days too

A good and heaped up covering of healthy soil is by far the best treatment, if you want the stump to rot down quickly!

A half kilo on average of cooking salt is good too at stopping epicormic re-growth, just drill and fill, around the edges of course............
