10 tonne bearing press ?

Evening people ....I hope you guys n gals have had a better week than me

 

Bearings gone on my stumpy again .. Not to mention the old Apple tree that was full of metal .... buts it happened and im still having nightmares about those new chains trashed in seconds

 

 

Just asking will a 10 tonne machine mart bearing press ....happily push my new bearings onto the shaft of my rayco 20hp grinder ?

 

Any information will be most grateful . Warm Regards to all

A 10t press will be more than up to it, dress the shafts up first and they should go on fairy easily.

there are some pretty good deals on ebay I picked up a generic Chinese 20t press for about £150 last year its payed for itself already

Wouldn't say you need a press but it does make life a hell of a lot easier.

Go to any garage and give em a tenner and they will press em on for you.

I tried the sledge hammer route ....many years ago ...and ended up blowing the seals off .

 

Only reason I,m considering a press is because my local agricultural fitter keeps pushing the small jobs back .

 

Slightly annoyed as I gave him loads of work when he had ....none

I've a 12t "fox hunter" bearing press I bought off ebay for £90. Don't some nasty wheel bearings with it. Well earnt it's keep
