Just trying to order spare chain for my Makita DCS 5121 18 inch bar

bar stamped as

3/8 64 link 1.5/ 0.058. But according to Makita website this saw chain is 3/8 gauge is 1.3/0.050.

Now is it possible to run 0.050 chain on 0.058 Bar.

I am after semi chisel chain.

I found Oregon 73DPX064E online for £16.80 posted

Which seems very good. Is this a good chain or you recommend a different

Brand.

Obviously the thinner chain will spin round but as soon as you work it in wood it will tend to " flop " over one side or the other causing extra ware to the bar rails . I have done it before but its not ideal .

Thanks for reply. After some search on internet seems at first Makita DCS 1251 came with 0.50 bar but this has been replaced by 0.58 bar and I guess chain was updated to 0.058 so all good.

So now I am now looking for 3/8 0.058 chain 64 link semi chisel. Which one you go for. Oregon and Stihl.
