If there is one piece of kit that's been priceless for me then the Farm jack is up there ...whether Fencing or Stumps it is the Dog danglers! £45 eight years I paid and still going strong . Little Beach and a Cherry to pull out today and using a winch off The Beech the Cherry pulled out in 2 ticks ,has for Beech a quick dig around base and located a main root and cut it so I could put a chain around . 15 minutes and Hey presto ..No mess like a stump grinder .

Ever had one run down the rack? I have one that actually came about as my uncle had left 2 damaged ones at our place, I set to and got a working one made up from the various parts. 1st try out was lifting a 990 but for some reason I let go the handle in the jack down position, damn thing started to run the rack with the handle flapping up and down like mad, the handle which wasn't secured with a rivet ended up going skywards while I'm watching it trying to decide which way to run.

Steep learning curve

Yes. Horrible things for holding up vehicles but useful for loads of other jobs. Made mine into a brilliant cider press once....
