Hi all.

Found these underneath a dead Horse Chestnut.

My theory is they are feeding off the decaying root system as they are all over the area within the drip line.

The trees coming down anyway as it's right next to road.

Just wondered if anyone knows what they are and agrees/disagrees with my theory.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Richard

Is it Friday already gentlemen? :001_rolleyes:

Whilst I have seen this fungi before I don't recognize it as being anything pathogenic (problematic) more soil borne, maybe saprophytic (living off dead wood / roots), but await Mr Humphries contribution before proceeding.

ATB,

Paul

Everyday is a fun day Paul!! It's sunny in Cornwall today, hope it holds for your visit next week....
