Right I ve got Oregon bars and chains ( I m a very part-time operator of a saw)are these a good choice or am I missing something bearing in mind I don't make a living cutting up wood .

 

Nothing wrong with those . I favor the Sugihare bars nowadays but always use Oregon before . Chains are good .

Same as Stubby…Oregon is good stuff. I use there LPX chain in 3/8 and .325 sizes and there bars are better than the average for lasting iv found. Sugi is the mutts nuts though but you will pay a bit in the start..ok if you have one or two saws I guess.

Windsor bars and chain are also made in the same factory as Orogen i believe .. iv got there Windsor roll-top bars .

Stihl bars seem to be very decent as well as there oil O matic chain…Full chisel is my choice mostly and i tend to put Sthil bars on Sthil saws.
