l200 4x4 tyres

Hi there.

 

My l200 has the normal steel wheels on.

 

Tyres are 205r 16

 

At 205 wide are they wide enough? As seen most l200's with off road tyres with the alloys on and like 265 wheels...

 

Will i get some decent tyres to fit my rims and will they be ok or would it be best to whange wheels for some slightly wider ones?

 

Tyre wise... what is out there? First time buying 4x4 tyres.... seen bfg all terains. General grabbers.... what else is there or thats reccomended?

Bfg s last about the longest mate I had some on my l200 and got nearly 3 year out them the fronts go on the corners though.

I've got cooper discoverer stt on the ranger and landy and they are great. Brilliant on and off road and wear really well.

Mate of mine has Kumo MTs on his L200 on standard rims and that thing gets about. Run them on my 2 landys as well.

You will squeeze 235's on your rims I would think. General rule is 2 sizes wider than whats fitted tho.

Got BFG mud terrains on my truck and find they do 2-3 years altho ive managed to put a split in 1 and need to replace it.

What year is your truck? Later ones can use earlier alloys but not vica versa. The newer ones have a smaller centre hole so wont fit n earlier trucks.

I have the Coopers . Well impressed with their versatility . 60/40 I think they are .

Hankook Dynapro MT RT03 are what you want. 225 so good fit without looking either skinny or like rollers!

+1 for the Kumho tyres here. I have the KL71s on my Rodeo and they are very good.

look up the cooper discoverer stt, that's what I got and not had a single problem with them.
