Havnt been this year , but the shooting has been terrible, birds very thin. I was told the reason the birds havnt put on any weight is because the summer was so damp and there was hardly any flies for the young pheasants to eat?

All our days have been good but pheasants probably have suffered more this year with all the wet plus the temperatures have been all over the place cold one day so birds feeding well warm the next so birds wonder.

I've managed 3 days so far on our syndicate at one of our farms, all 60 bird days and I've put in a reasonable show on all dates. We also had a very dry day walking round the home farm and neighbouring land over Christmas, I just had 1 brace.

I have one more day left on the syndicate towards the end of the month, if everyone picks up their game that should be getting on for a 100 bird day, the local pub will be pleased!

I ducked out of a 200 bird day at wigmore a month ago to work which I'm kicking myself over... If just for the food and drink before, between and after the drives!

It's been a good season for us, our keeper put in new pens and changed the covers round and it paid off.

Looking forward to next year!

10 days so far, 2 to go with local syndicate.

Started of the season great with 100 bird days but wood has now been sold to woodlands.co.uk so the disturbance has ruined the rest of the saeson. So unsure

Agree with what has been already said about feed. wheat has not been that good so birds have to eat more, we were way over budget with feed because of this.
