battery chargers-a cautionary tale

workshop next to ours left battery charger on and locked up,caught fire,this is the result!you can see at top of dividing wall thats its collapsed on to our side,writing off 1 tracked chipper and 8 saws,not good.please dont leave old chargers on overnight /unattended

sorry to hear about your gear and their workshop.

so whats the best / recomended thing to do with battery charging??

ive never been that happy with it in the house or in the shed.

We always detach from the vehicle and leave outside on a concrete yard away from other machines -I've always been a bit uneasy about charging batteries around lots of combustable material and petrol. Problem in this case was it was the next door tenant.
