i've just been looking through a browns agricultural sales catalogue and spotted there log chopper.

I was wondering if anyone on here had ever used one and if there any good??

i've got one and its bullet proof and has spilt everything i've ever put in it, very good machine

No. The one Dickie had was a guillotine. The blade was guided on both sides and the apeture was about 12"x12". If you could get it through the hole, whether a piece of cord or the edge of a ring, it'd split it or chop it.

 

HI paul how big was the ram i no a chap nr us with a home made one it a very early pro thanks jon :thumbup:

Dick Robinson used to have one when I worked there. I agree with Farmer Ben, it was a really good tool. Chop virtually anything across the grain or down it.

 

Still has it and is used regularly, bloody good machine, quick and effective, though he has replaced original blade with a stronger one
