Aww nuts!!

Recommended Posts

Very excited. For the first time, some of the hazel trees I planted in 2014 have started producing nuts. Out of the 200-odd I've planted, I can only see 3 with nuts on them (and they're all within a small radius) but hoping the others will follow suit in years to come:

quite tasty, you have to cook it gently so as not to dry it out. mmm:biggrin:

Slow cooker, I cook pheasant and goose in slow cooker as well as I am a rubbish cook and have a habit of drying the meat out, but can't go wrong with slow cooker.

Man plants tree, squirrel eats nuts, man eats squirrel.

The circle of life:biggrin:

That's more of a triangle  We had squirrel at the Elvaston wood fair. We were out walking and noticed a lot of hedge nuts on the roadside trees this year. Not seen many sloes though.
