Vodka and hold it in your mouth over the tooth for about 5min, numbs it up nicely and if it doesn't drink the rest of the bottle and you'll no longer care and the bad head in the morning will give you something else to think about.

Nowt worse than toothache, over half my back left teeth are held together with mettle from being kicked by a horse and still occasionally give jip which is guaranteed to make me more grumpy than normal

2x 250mg naproxen (anti inflammatory) and an omoprozole (gastro resistant), prescription only (or someone with tendinitis may have them).

If you can't get them, Diclofenac may work. Paracetamol combined with anti inflammatory works for me

If it's infection then you need antibiotics and about the only temporary relief you can get is co-codomol and oil of clove. This is not professional advice. This is the avenues I've had to go when I've had toothache :001_smile:

Fresh chillies Jon. don't swallow them just rub the insides and seeds all over your gums (all your teeth)for about as long as you would brush your teeth. Then drink some honey and lemon. The Incas used to swear by it.

The dentists don't like you using clove oil.
