storeing firewood in cargo container

hi all things r starting to grow now need to look at storage options i can get a 40 foot cargo container to store all my wood but ive also got to put a car in the container aswell.

dose anyone elso store wood in containers will the wood sweat in there and would it be a good idear to place my car in there with it.

wood will b part seasoned any advise will be greatly welcome

The condensation will be a real problem, IMO.

In the very beginning we stored wood in a 20ft container it sweated that much the condensation was dripping off the roof.

Shipping containers just don't have no where near the airflow.

Wood didn't dry but grow some nice mould

Don't put your wood in a shipping container even if insulated it will go mouldy

If you can find a fairly cheap horse shelter they are ok as you can sit them on a bed of pallets and remove some of the boards to allow airflow plus the front is normally open with a overhang like a porch.

I have 2 containers, i super dooper storage one, condensation is bad. The other is an insulated ex army medical container, condensation here is not so bad.

 

But for firewood storage, keep the rain off and let the wind blow through it, a storage container in my opinion is a far worse choice than an open barn.
