Anyone actually manage to sell or use sawdust?

We have been cutting Swedish candles today, making big long, stringy sawdust, bags and bags of it. It burns like made from the touch of a lighter so I might try selling some as tinder when we are selling the candles, has anyone done that?

Is it ok to use in the cows pen as bedding?

Does anyone mix there sawdust with soil and make there own compost/soil?

Ive got 2 dumpie bags of saw dust im thinking of bagging up and selling. Just not sure who'd buy it?!

I've put about 80 cube on the farmers **** heap so I'll be gutted if someone sais yes it's the only waste product I can't find a market for not that I've tried that hard

It is possible to turn it into wood pellets or brickets, you would need a fair volume to make the latter a runner, the former is a massive cost outlay.

Breaks down quickly mixed with piss & crap & makes great compost.

 

Good under animals as long as non poisonous species.

I use mine for chicken bedding, after they have finished with it, it makes fantastic compost a year later!

That's what I thought about dust with horses, but some people do seem to sell it to horse people.
