stihl 024 over oiling ?

When left on the floor on tick over my 024 leaves a pool of oil it oils the bar OK when being used as said it only happens when put down ticking over and When set down not running just after use iv had a look at the oiler tube ect and all looks fine so thought iI would throw it out to you guys on here as this site has never let me down before

The 024 has a fixed oiler and oils all the time bud, this is why its like it is

The early 024s had a fixed oiler - on all the time but the later ones had the oiler that only engages with the clutch spinning the drum. I believe there is a conversion kit for it!

Cheers swinny / spud that puts my mind at rest I'll look into the convention as not only dose it waste oil it leaves a mess
