Can I ask whats safer about the proper handle?

My current piece of rope is pretty short so hard to be near the blade when actuating the ram.

Its the 1 handed thing that kills that idea.

I have come across someone who managed to split their hand having modified their machine as such, an accident that having the splitting handles would have prevented.

If you have staff then something just knocked up is not good enough if there is an accident, and I speak as someone who has seen and had my fair share of accidents even without modified machinery. The idea is two hands on the mechanism that activates the ram, similar to a standard log splitter. You also have better control over the splitting ram. I reckon the price is pretty fair if you consider you are converting the processor into a dual purpose machine ie processor and splitter in one.
