T540 Rear spring

This has finally happen'd to my saw!!

How long did that take? I have had a few go although this one now has been on about 3 months and still going strong! Really try not to drop the saw on strop at all now

I got through 3 springs until my saw finally fell in half . Great shame . Good strong engine in a Cadburys chassis .......

I've gone through 2, ive replacement them before they've gone ping mind. Keep a spare in the tool box now

You are putting the strop on the silver ring not on the plastic fella ? You will loose your saw other wise!! I'm still on the original but then I will always clip the saw back up and have only dropped it on the strop a handful of times.

Putting the strop on the plastic ring is a way of stopping the rear AV spring from bending . When you look through all the broken bit on the ground you will find its not bent

A Little Naughty I Know... but I was maybe.. just a little bit.. using the saw on the ground!!

 

That's why its clipped through the plastic dufer...

 

I dont drop the saw... and on very rare occasion whilst chogging down.. i will leave the saw

dangling on the strop!
