Just a quick question

Now as many of you may know im quite dyslexic and most of the tree places I have worked there have seemed to be a greater number than average of people who have similar issues.

I was wondering how many peolpe who you work with suffer a similar issue. If you would be kind enough to let me know that would be great.

Plese let me know number as a fraction ie if one person you work with is dyslexic but you have 10 staff its 1 in 10

thanks loads in advance.

It comes down male line

Not stricly true

It is significantly more common in the male line but there are some dyslexia women.

My mother being one of them

ANd I was a curio of the psychological department of Barts hospital for that reason amongst others lol

How many do you work with then who you think may be dyslexic

I'm dyslexic and it doesn't bother me too much! Apart from memory usually boring crap like remembering to sign risk assessments, packing Eco plugs and sometimes even a blower! I have to set reminders and have a diary! It's bad when you promise to do a foreigner for a cheapskate friend/ family member and totally forget haha

I'm fortunate enough not to suffer myself but I have several relatives by marriage who have it. My father-in-law was chairman of the Dyslexia Institute for some years and condition's certainly more common than most would know, hence the OP's question I guess.

I get the impression that diagnosis is the key: I've seen the transformation in one child where diagnosis wasn't as early as it could have been to understand this; he's now at a school specialising in teaching such kids and is a different person to the undiagnosed, frustrated, bullied and failing child that he used to be.

Get it in the open: it can be dealt with these days.
