Trees and subsidence

I'm just after some information. I seem to recollect an article stating that less than 1% of trees, on shrinkable soils, that could cause subsidence actually do.

 

Or, less than 1% of claims that trees are the main cause of subsidence are substantiated.

 

I can't find the article, which I thought was in the LTOA strategy document. Can anyone point me in the right direction:confused1: I also need to be able to cite the article

This is not what you're specifically looking for, but section 3.5 of the 2007 London Assembly 'chainsaw massacre' states similar to what you're referring to

Thanks David, I've got that and re-read it earlier, but I think I've read an article or paper from which that figure was derived. I've searched both my own files and on t'net but can't find the origin. It may even be something from the insurance industry that I've read.
