I need some help people please , I have recently dragged a david brown 1212 out of the brambles , it has been there 6 or 7 years but with a little work it runs sweet as a nut . My question is what configeration do all of the levers have to be to get the hydraulic splitter working . The arms work quickly but the ram on the splitter is very slow , what am I doing wrong. cheers in advance.

Draft control levers have to be right back to back where the catch latches on to the lever then the lever switch has to be in middle position.

What he said

My 1210 has stopped lifting on the 3 point linkage - any ideas?

No - it just stopped working it's got hydraulic oil in and it's only got the firewood processor on

Its likely that the shuttle valve is stuck although this normally happens when the PUH isn't used for a while, hence the loader question.

Looking from the back of the tractor follow the RH pick up arm back to the housing. There is a rectangular tin cover on the top of the casting that houses the pick up arm.

The shuttle valve is under that, it will be a PITA to get at with the cab on but you can get a thin screwdriver in there and flick it loose. DONT DO IT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. The arms can come up and squish you under the cab which is most undesirable.
