Has anyone got any old landrover dvds from old magazines etc they would be willing to send my landy loving 2 1/2 year old little boy? we have 2 but my wife is getting driven mad by having to have them on all day as getting quite scratched.

As some of you might know he can get quite ill and has to be isolated from his sister or any of us if we are ill to stop him getting it and ending up in hospital again so some landy entertainment would be very much appreciated. It doesn't have to be for children. Just any old DVD that has landrovers on it.

Thanks all, John

Total thread resurrection moment guy's but not a request for more dvd's.

I was chatting with another veteran member the other day and he remembers this thread and asked how my lad was these days....

Well a lot has happened over the last few years, basically he was diagnosed with a very rare metabolic disorder which resulted in a restricted protein diet and lots of drugs to control the amount of ammonia in his bloodstream, fast forward a few years and lots of emergency hospital stays we thought we had him stable till he had a big attack in 2019 which resulted in several weeks in intensive care and a few more in recovery, just when we thought things were getting back to normal his immune system decided to go into overdrive and attack his nervous system resulting in another 7 weeks in hospital and replacement of all his blood plasma.

After all this the doctors decided after much deliberation that a liver transplant was the safest solution as that would basically stop the potential lethal high levels of ammonia being produced.

Jump to September 2022 after several false alarms we got the call a suitable donor had become available. 7hrs of surgery, new filters fitted and for the first time in his life he could suddenly eat however much of whatever he wants.

9 months later and he's doing amazingly and has been invited to take part in the transplant game's at the end of this month which we are so proud of him for.

Not sure how to tag those above who contacted me originally.
