Gardening business and green waste disposal

Hello

I'm running a small gardening business in reading.

Was wondering how other people manage their green waste.

I have quite a lot of it and would like to know what others do..

Disposing of it at the recycling centre isn't cheap ( 35£ for 250kg - minimum they take )

Anyone around reading who wishes to have some regular green waste for their compost heap ? ;-)

I'd look at getting a yard/field then stacking branches and green waste neatly.

Hiring in a gurt shredder for as long as it takes from time to time.

Wee stuff you could compost, hedge cuttings, grass and leaves.

I pay 15 euros metre cube for green waste but all my chips and grass are re-sold as compost and mulch.

I re-sell locally mulch for 100euros for a truck load (4m3)

Regards

.

hampshire you can get permits which alow you to dump waste 12 visits a year. or as other posts if you can store it untill you have a lot hire a shredder and shred it to make compost.

there is a site near to me which take green waste called green otter you did say reading so berkshire so maybe a bit far to haul it

just found out from son in law he is into recycling try county council berkshire have trade waste sites.

mat have permit system or dedicated site but if that is what you are using a dear way to get rid of it.

whats the £35 for.. is that per 250kg or per ton?

35£ for 250kg

Tonne for about 130£

Thanks guys.

I imagined shredder is a good option but haven't got a decent yard / field

But well have some space and could hold a bit in a corner compost heap...

Any shredders / Chippers recommended ?

Price is a big issue as well as portability but also need something to go through branches as well as lots of foliage..
