Plum

Took down a largish plum in a back garden recently so the biggest we could remove the trunk was in 3-4foot sections. I put a log on the rack bench in the yard and what a lovely bit of wood the colours and ripples, the photos don't do it justice...

Looks to be a lovely colour. Any ideas how you might use it? I've been trying to get hold of a large plum butt for years but I suppose they don't grow that well in the West of Scotland and are probably difficult to find elsewhere also.
