Selling my wood to a furniture maker

Right chaps need some advice/info im thinking about selling some lengths of ash and oak to a furniture maker,but am slightly worried i maybe about to be screwed over on price as i dont know what prices i should be charging. any info on how much a cubic foot etc??? Will i be able to make that much more than i would if i was selling it as fire wood?

Send a PM to Big J as he sells to lots of furniture makers....

 

 

But as above - if you're making money enough to want to mill more and sell more to him/her you're doing ok.

 

 

 

Myself I'd say around the £35 to £40 a cube mark but if in volume less, if taking defects less... always sell it as there is lots more wood to mill out there!

Top right corner where it says Private Messages and you will have to search the members list or just look in the milling forum for Big J.

 

 

Tap on his name and it should give you the menu from which you can PM... he may see this thread and post in the meantime....
