I have recently been buying my wood from a local estate

mainly sycamore,alder,birch,oak

the ash and beech are kept for the big mansion

i was told by the estate maintainence chap that a big ash tree had fallen a year ago and some 1 had offered them 100 quid for it.

He said go and have alook and tell me what its worth, the trunk is 4ft+

truth be known its a hell of a size so ive bought it for 130,i will take some pictures and try and put them on withtin the next few days

Its going to be a long drawn out process moving it,probably months tractor and trailer job i think but for that price i cant complain.
