Dust passing air filter On 2010 ms230

Hi all. I have noticed that there is a lot of dust passing the air filter. I have replaced the original item with a new fleece type one. After a quick google search it seems it's a common fault in America! Anyone had any experience with this? Going into local dealer on Monday as warranty runs out end of October.
