career change

hi im new on here iv tryed the FAQ to sarch old post but cant find any

im wonting to change career and get into tree surgery but not sore what would be the best way to proced i dont have any quallifications in this area

i am in south yorkshire any help would be appreciated thanks Dan

Hi Daniel and welcome to the forum. I would recommend offering your labour for free to see if this really is the kind of work you want to do. It's not an easy job, physical fitness is required, and a dogged detmination that it ain't gonna get you down. If you find you like it, you could join a college course, find an apprenticeship, or pit yourself though the NPTC CS units. Good luck, might pay you to post a thread outlining your needs and see if anyone will give you a day or two.

Welcome and I agree. Find a local company you could do a couple of days with, also find out when your local college has open days as you maybe able to get up in a tree. If you don't wanna do the year course etc at college try TKF. Tom is in south yorks and runs courses all the time, there a gd bunch of lads up there

right then is there any one in the doncaster south yourkshire area that will be willing to give me some work experiance if you get in tuch can sort somthing out with my days off from the job i do at min as my days off change from week to week thanks Dan
