Saw and Sawhorse Advice

Sup folks,

So my old mans in need of a little saw, 16in bar tops, and a sawhorse (the sort that holds the saw with a bar cover over the top)

Does anyone have any recommendations on a little saw, I only use Stihl pro saws (362 upwards) so not too clued up on which little saws are crap and which ain't in the £200-300 mark.

Reliability is key as he's not very tech minded!

As for saw horses, I ain't keen on him logging up on the ground as he doesn't want to get ppe and his back would suffer big time. So what are your opinions on the ones with saw support such as this one?

I've had to ban him from the massively dangerous circular saw that came with the house, he's not as quick as he used to be and in all honesty hes scared shitless of it, its about 60 years old so you can imagine, zero safety features and its fairly remote place in france.

Cheers for your help folks,

Dak

I use one of these but a Clarke version which looks pretty much identical. I used to use it with an old Husky 136 but now have a cheapo GMC electric saw. As I only use it near the shed this is ideal. It quieter and the saw only runs when you pull the trigger so it's not sitting there burning fuel while you grab the next billet or go to unload the barrel.

Very, very safe and can be highly productive if you have a decent set up. The cover has stayed on mine and I don't find any problem with it to be honest.
