Quite wet when green, but burns quite hot once dry. Some of it develops massive shakes as it dries, almost splits itself.

got some in the shed, it`s been in there for 2 years.
Nice and dry and most of the bark has fallen off. It can be difficult to split but if you cut logs short it will split down o.k. Caution on a open fire even when dry it will pop a bit but not to much. good heat from it and simliar to oak quiet slow to burn but hot. i would say 7/10 overal |

damn awful stuff to split with an axe,seems to have bark upto an inch thick,but once seasoned burns aswell as most hardwoods

It depends what eucy it is,mountain ash and blue gum is crap,nicoli spits and is just ok.
Any of the boxes or red gum is premiun in short. |

Great firewood and burns very very hot due to residual oils. Burns better with a slow burner such as oak or beech to prolong the heat. I'm burning mine after 6 months of seasoning on a well aired firewood shelter. Probably my fave wood to burn with ash.
