Anyone use a BCS scythe cutter bar??

Yes it's ace. Good note about getting one that's too wide for the trailer as we did:blushing:

 

It's very good for cutting grass just means you get lots of nice stuff to rake up. Although i think they do a baler for it too. Just make sure it well greased and keep a few spare teeth in the truck because it vibrates quite a lot if you loose a few.

 

OH use it on tick over as it's all in needs to cut. Worth putting the double wheel kit on the BSC too.

I'm a reedcutter i've got a BCS and a Grillo GF 4 they get used about 8 hours a day every day for 6 months

 

On reed day to day i've been using the grillo for 5 years now and it wins every time less vibration less bits drop off but it doesn't have as much grunt only a 9hp engine

 

i have the 13 hp kohler engined BCS it'll go thru nearly anything but the steering brakes stick on if you don't use it regularly and i does vibrate like hell oh the grillo is about 2k cheaper too
