finished hammock and other items

just come back from a washout local agricultural show where we had a stand, some pics of what we had on the stand that my cousin has made out of our green oak milled at apf 2010 and cedar, the finished hammock and some picnic benches/tables - pics of setup of show as show days a total washout!:thumbdown: :thumbdown:- but good trade done:thumbup1:

the hammock was really quick to build , the lads made a ply former and resawn the oak beam we had through a band saw to get lots of layers of thin flexible oak, they then glued and stretched them over the former in one using a ratchet strap, if we had two formers it could be made in half the time, but we used one and it took a good day - long day all be it - so the oak we had, bought i think two tubs of this glue that likes green wood, the hammock inset was £40 online and the chain cheap from local diy shop.
