Could all members advertising/promoting their products in the firewood forum, be it retail or wholesale, please include in their post a direct link to their listing on the arbtalk firewood directory.

Promotion and sales of processed firewood and kindling within the forums is restricted to showcase listing holders only.

Please note all such posts not containing the appropriate link in the users signature will be removed

incidentally....1 week in and the search term 'firewood directory' brings the arbtalk directory no.1 in google. the term 'firewood suppliers' is currently on page 2 and im working on that behind the scenes.....im pretty confident once we have a few more listings we should get up there pretty easily :001_smile:

Many people type in `Logs area` how does it fare on such a search?

theres also the twitter and facebook social networking tabs on each listing...if you have an account with either or both of these its a good idea to click the tabs and get them linked up.....and if you're feeling particularly generous go through clicking a few of your mates pages aswell. im slowly going through doing them all, but being careful not to flood my facebook with firewood 'likes' at the same time

this will take more time, and a bit more work on my part. But you can help by for example linking your listing in your signature, but rewording the link ie Spring Farm Firewood Derby area

Just to clarify, as i have had a few queries regarding the above.

To insert a link into a piece of text, first type in the texk you want linked...."spring farm firewood derby area" for example in the above. next highlight your chosen text by clicking and dragging the mouse over it.

next, in the options above the text editor you will see a few icons, if you hover over the one that looks like a small earth with a paperclip on it, it will read 'insert link', click on this then type the link in the box that opens.

job done
