How do you make your kindling?

I just use my splitter...

I use tips of pine trees, probably 4 - 5 inch wide, i can hold it in my hand and make 3 or 4 cuts with the splitter one way then 3 or 4 the other way.

Not sure how well a small multi blade would work for me, interested to know if it would work.

I use the same system as I do for splitting the logs, a tyre.

Instead of splitting the round in a tyre into 3 or 4 logs I just keep splitting until the wood get's thinner and thinner and turns into kindling. At some stage in this process you will need to add in more wood to keep the kindling upright but by doing this you get a tyre full of kindling in no time and even just a tyre full goes quite a long way if it's just personal use.
