Hi everyone, a friend of mine and me have started a little side venture that may be a little fun. We have bought a "freeheat junior press" basically you mulch up wet paper and squeeze it in a press to make eco friendly bricks to burn. Anyone else ever tried this any luck selling them/using them?

thanks for the replies guys, the press was £200 delivered and we should get it this week. We have some expeimenting to do to see how they burn on our fires/workshop wood burners so we can make up ou minds how they do. We have a heated workshop to dry them out in so that should be ok but we have a moisture probe to check hourly progress on that front (scientific i know) we are generally (if they are any good) give them to elderly people in our area to do our bit

If you get to the end of the freeheat video, a selection of other videos will appear - check the guy trying to burn what sounds like a very dry paper briquette in his chiminea....

Personally I wouldn't use them again and mine cost me nothing to make apart from a few quid for the press - which I used to stand on to get better compaction just out of interest. I certainly wouldn't even think about buying them - as stated already, they'll fill your stove with ash in no time and don't do a deal else while they're doing it!
