Tree Clearance Contract Manager, Home Counties up to £40,000 p/a

Our client was established in 1981 as a Landscape Contractor and has subsequently diversified into tree clearance for construction sites (with resulting bio-fuel and mulch supply services) and also a semi-mature tree nursery. The company has a large yard and nursery in Buckinghamshire from which it operates through out the midlands and south east with the largest fleet of tree moving machinery in the UK. So that the Managing Director can focus on business development and the continued evolution of the range of services provided they are looking to recruit a Tree Clearance Contract Manager.

 

The role will involve :

• Developing relationships with clients

• Pricing and programming Work

• Developing the company offering to clients

• Recording progress

• Day to day Health and Safety compliance

• Working with owner/manager to develop the business

• Travelling all over midland, southern and eastern regions

 

The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following attributes:

 

• Forestry/Arboriculture training

• Experience dealing with construction site tree works. Rail or utility experience would be useful too but not essential.

• Experience writing Method Statements and Risk Assessments and briefing same.

• Ability to assess and price work accurately

• Good communication and man management skills

• Self motivated and organised nature

• Commercially minded .

• A desire to excel in what they do

• Team Player and good people person

• Good computer skills

• Ability to manage contracts under pressure

• Keen interest and understanding of trees

• An understanding of forestry machinery practices

• Clean Driving licence with trailer towing ability(C+E licence)

• Chainsaw/Climbing Certification
